BIG Oakland

Two sites for a coworking space: Building Industry Gathering

The Inaugural Site for BIG Oakland

The design for the inaugural site of BIG Oakland was the adaptive reuse of a former office. Crafted with the unique needs of the AEC community in mind, BIG Oakland offers more than just workspace. It’s an environment where your ideas take shape and your projects come to life, supported by industry-specific resources and a network of professional expertise. The facilities cater to a wide range of professional requirements. The location in Downtown Oakland is strategically chosen for its accessibility — centrally positioned in the Bay Area with excellent public transit links and freeway access.

The design was driven by the desire to create a dynamic environment where professionals from various sectors of the AEC industry can thrive and collaborate. The space is equipped with high-end resources and designed to inspire creativity and productivity.
