DJDS is a nonprofit founded and led by Black women, and it’s the only one of its kind, blending architecture, real estate development, community partnerships, and social activism.
At DJDS, we dream a world without prisons. To end mass incarceration, we must first make restorative reinvestments in communities that have been subject to systematic divestment. We do this so that people can meet their basic needs where they are, including job training, education, transformative forms of justice, access to fresh and healthy foods, and more.
